How do I apply for the 2024-2025 contract period? (Contracts are August 2024-August 2025)

All qualified BYU students interested in applying for The Colony should email us at office@thecolony-apts.com with the subject line: "Fall 2024-2025 Application Request". The email should include the names and BYU Net ID's of ALL members of the group interested in living at The Colony. Also include if the group is interested in a 4 or 6 person apartment, or either. Once that is sent, we will be able to send an application and subsequent contracts. Note: The Colony does not charge and application or renewal fee.

How does the wait list work at The Colony?

Fall Contracts at The Colony do sell quickly. We do get cancellations around June 1st. If you would like to be on our wait list please email the office with your name and contact information and apartment/group request and we will put you on the list. We will know by approximately June 10th what spaces will be available.

Is The Colony BYU Contracted? What does this mean? Who can live here?

The Colony is a BYU Contracted property therefore we can only accept eligible BYU students. To be eligible, students must attend one of the following schools: BYU- Provo, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, BYU Evening, BYU English Language Center, BYU Salt Lake Center, Ensign College, BYU Flex GE

Are there any other fees in addition to rent and utilities?

We do not charge an application or renewal fee. If a tenant has a vehicle there is a $75 charge for a parking permit for the length of the contract. There is also a $30 per semester non-refundable portion of the deposit.

What amenities does The Colony have?

We have a new pickelball and basketball court along with a sand volleyball court. We have a great pool and hot tub that are generally run between April/May to October/November weather permitting. We also have a BBQ and picnic area next to the pool.

How many bathrooms are there in the apartments?

The 3-bedroom apartment has 1 1/2 bathrooms and the 2 bedroom apartment has 1 bathroom with an extra vanity outside of the bathroom.

What is the parking situation?

The Colony is known for plenty of parking with our unique private street and parking behind the buildings. Parking permits are $75 for the length of the contract. Permits are issued on move in day.

What is the laundry situation?

The Colony has an onsite Laundry facility for tenants only with 11 washers and 10 dryers. It is coin operated. Washers are $1.50 for approx 35 minute wash and $.50 for 15 minutes of dry time.
